![]() When you say "there was no subsequent sync with stellarium", do you mean that once the plate is solved, the scope does not move, or that after it does move, stellarium is not pointing at the desired object - even the object is in the center of the eyepiece ? I had one other questions also since Astrotortilla is just a wrapper, do I need to run Asttrotortilla or is it enough that Shapcap knows where to access the Cygwin files?Īny thoughts that you might have would be greatly appreciated. Now this is not the end ofthe world is I can always disconnect Stellarium from the mount after the object I want to image is properly centered in the FOV but I assume that this is not normal operation and there should be a way to have both connected simultaneously. I can either have Stellarium connected and communicating with my AVX mount, or I can have PhD2 connected and communicated with the AVX mount, but not both at the same time. ![]() ![]() I also noticed a separate and likely unrelated problem. And yes, for clarity, I didn’t enable the option and Sharpcap to automatically sync and re-center. Sharpcap is not sending the required corrections to Stellarium. So it seems like the front and works, and the back and works, but the two are not communicating witheach other. After that, however, there was no subsequent sync with Stellarium. I then ran the plate solving utility in Sharpcap and was able to successfully resolve the plate so it seems like it was able to communicate with Astrotortilla and do the plate solving. ![]() Recently I download Astrotortilla, configured my Min/Max field of you and then downloaded the appropriate Cygwin files. I’ve been running Sharpcap for quite a while now and I use it for image capture and for polar alignment and it works great for both. Stellarium by it self communicates with my AVX mount and can slew the mount to whatever object I select in Stellarium, so that part of the equation seems to work. I have been trying to get plate solving working using Sharpcap and Stellarium. ![]()
